ABOUT

Born in Frankfurt (Main) Nicole Kohlmann received her education as a dancer at the Hochschule für Musik and Darstellende Kunst, Frankfurt, the Heinz-Bosl-Stiftung, Munich and the Academy of Dance, Mannheim, where she was also trained as a dance pedagogue. Her 20-year career as a dancer has led her to the Staatsoper Unter den Linden Berlin, the Deutsche Oper Berlin, the Saarland State Theater, Saarbrücken, the Company Introdans, Arnhem (NL) and the Scapino Ballet Rotterdam (NL). During this time she was involved in numerous creations including the choreographers M. Bejart, E. Wubbe, G. Reischl, H. Vierthaler, J. Uotinen, D. Heitkamp, J. Wieland, N. Linning, M. Baldwin, M. Donlon and M. Goecke. In addition she was engaged as a dancer, actor and choreographer in several film productions. Since 2012 she has been working as a free lance ballet master / coach (Scapino Ballet, Codarts, Holland Dans Festival), choreographic assistant and dramaturge (Scapino Ballet, rubarb dance & art, etc.) and is responsible for staging the works of Marco Goecke. She completed (a. b. t.) her Bachelor's degree in Theater Studies and Art History at the Free University (FU) Berlin where she is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Dance Science. In 2017 she was selected to participate in the TANDEM program of the TanzRaum / TanzBüroBerlin where she was trained in the field of production and artist management for the performing arts. So far her clients include the Berlin based choreographer Ruben Reniers, the interdisciplinary performer and choreographer Luo Yuebing as well as the upcoming choreographer Arshak Ghalumyan.
